A house clearance after the death of a loved one is probably the last thing you want to think about, but it can often become something that needs to be done urgently. While you have to inform everyone, have a funeral to arrange, and need to cancel fixed costs such as utility bills, you don’t need the extra stress of worrying about what to do with the property; it’s a huge task, and there doesn’t need to be that extra stress if you hire a professional company to take it off your hands.

When you call we will come to you, and during an initial free consultation, we talk together about the situation with the house and what needs to be done. If you are happy with our proposal, we can plan a date to start the work and complete everything within that same day whenever possible. While clearing the home, we will conduct any repairs needed, and move all furniture and household goods to a location of your choosing.
Things that we leave behind
When people die, they leave behind a life time of belongings within their home, and it may seem daunting to sort through all of it. There are items that hold sentimental value, there are some that will have been divided up within the will, some that you will want to keep hold of as a family, and then there will be those that are no longer wanted or needed.
We leave little to waste during our work, so make sure to recycle and reuse as much as possible when we clear a home, taking things to the thrift store or the waste collection center as appropriate. If there are valuable items that are found, we can talk with you about using these to potentially offset some of the price of the work.
If we come across sensitive documents during the clearance, you can trust us to put these safely on one side for you, and if it is your wishes, to destroy them in a secure and professional manner.
Ready in a single day
We try to complete everything to a clean and ready state, all within one day: if necessary, also during the weekend. If you don’t wish to be, you don’t have to be present for any of this. During the final inspection, if you would prefer, we are also able to take over the delivery and hand over the key to the nursing home, the real estate agent, or housing association.

Personal Advice
When we visit you, we come with an extensive checklist detailing everything that needs to be done. During the viewing, we walk through the building, the office or the boat together. We look at how we can empty the different spaces for you, what goes with you, and to what you bid farewell.
Moving Home
In addition to emptying, repairing and removing household goods, items and material, you can of course also count on us for moving home. Are you going from a larger to a smaller house, for example? We transport your most precious possessions to your new home, and take care of emptying your old house, leaving it looking new and ready, returned to a broom clean condition.
Broom Clean Condition
We deliver your old house broom clean. This condition is set in almost every lease and purchase contract. Broom clean delivery also means that light fixtures and curtain rails, stickers and other materials must be removed, and any holes in walls must be filled.
After the removal of a light a terminal block is always placed on it, for safety and to prevent short circuits.
Repair Work
Does the floor need to be taken out, or are there other repairs still required, such as removing a kitchen unit or fixing a wall? We have the ability and experience to do all of these things. We are in touch with the municipality, real estate agents and housing cooperatives, so we know exactly how the property should be delivered.
Removal of Asbestos
Though it is no longer used in modern construction, occasionally we still find it in old houses: the carcinogenic material asbestos. The safe removal of asbestos requires both specialized knowledge and specialized equipment. We are trained in this, and have all the appropriate equipment to remove any asbestos encountered in a safe and secure manner.
Purchase of Furniture and Goods
The majority of household contents that are no longer wanted or needed, we can take to the thrift store, or recycle in a responsible manner. If there are specific items of value of interest, we will make an appraisal and can offer to purchase them from you; this can then be deducted from the cost of the overall work. If you would like to reach an agreement on selling the household contents as a whole, this can also be discussed.
In this way, we contribute to a circular economy.
Disposal of Waste in an Environmentally Conscious Manner
Years of experience have shown us that, unfortunately, most unwanted household contents are not actually suitable for refurbishment and resale. If this is the case we dispose of what can’t be reused, in an environmentally conscious manner. We know the exact rules for your municipality, and we know where to take the waste in line with this.
Temporary Storage of Household Goods
Sometimes it all just goes far too quickly, and you don’t have the time or space in your mind to think about what to do with all of your household items. For both the short term, and the long term, you can store any of your belongings within our warehouse – be it for a day, a month, or even a few years. We can also help you sort out what can be discarded, and what can go into storage; that way, you can be sure to take only the most essential items there.
